A private museum · one subject · 69 photographs

Lady from the‘West Coast’

an unnecessarily comprehensive archive
you’ll later know why.

A pink museum with exactly one subject. The references don’t sit in cards waiting to be read. They interrupt, connect, hide, and occasionally misbehave. Admission is free. Some rooms are not.

Chapter I · Follow the thread

One thing
leads to another.

Each exhibit hands you the next. Nothing here is explained twice, and some things are not explained at all. The titles further down the list stay blurred until you reach them.

Chapter II · The character cabinet

You know
who these are.

Twelve cards, face down. The shows are named exactly once, further along. Here the museum speaks in characters, props and running jokes. Turn one over.

Chapter III · The catalogue

The shows.
Once.

Thirteen titles, named here and nowhere else. After this they go back to being characters, coffee, crossbows and the occasional notification. Press the button to name them.

still blurred. on purpose.
Chapter IV · The listening room

Press play.
Actually.

Nine tracks, in the order the room changes temperature. Nothing plays by itself. The museum has manners. One of these is the clue Phoebe mentioned.

Official players load only after you press play, and only the one you pressed. Close it and the room goes quiet again.

Chapter V · Restricted

There is
more.

The public museum ends here. The rest sits behind a date nobody sees. Eight digits, and you already know them.

Duthie’s turned out to be right across. The raccoons turned out to be fine. Take the day that was decided, add five, and write it day · month · year. Eight digits, no dots.
